HEAL partners with schools to successfully access federal Medicaid dollars that are currently being untapped by most Louisiana schools who may not know the funds exist or might not have the information, staffing and resources to apply for these critically need funds.

Medicaid members will need to take steps to ensure they are still eligible.

In addition to inflation at a 40-year high, unprecedented enrollment declines and an impending economic downturn, districts are also facing the looming ESSER fiscal cliff.

Amendment to the Medicaid State Plan Leverages Millions of Federal Dollars to Help Louisiana School Children. The Health and Education Alliance of Louisiana (HEAL) applauds the state’s efforts to leverage federal Medicaid dollars to ensure health for Louisiana’s School children.

“HEAL is now being funded by the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana Foundation, which recently announced a $300,000 grant to fund the program’s expansion.”
